A market veteran with 18 years of corporate experience, Michael has been a sales and management strategist in the highly competitive Sri Lankan ICT sector with core competency in business process re-engineering, change consulting and solution selling. Prior to forming Symbiosis, two years ago, Michael worked with international IT giants such as SAP, IBM, Cisco promoting their solutions to all of Sri Lanka’s top corporates. Widely travelled and being exposed to marine tourism globally, he established Symbiosis to bring aspects of the industry to Sri Lanka. He is currently engaged with policy makers, regulators and government officials to create a framework and operating procedure for luxury yachts, internal transportation and marine lifestyle in Sri Lanka. Michael has a Masters in Strategic Marketing and International Business.
With over 28 years of corporate experience in the manufacturing and garments sector, Hiranthi overlooks Corporate Finance and Legal for Symbiosis. Her natural ability for forging loyalty with clients, vendors and external business partners is of vital importance in the journey that Symbiosis has embarked upon. Her experience at the forefront of helping build some of Sri Lanka’s most successful businesses has equipped her with all the skills needed to propel organizations. Adopting a practical and strategic approach to new ventures, Hiranthi overlooks the partner eco-system, secretarial and corporate finance aspects of the company.
A media & communication industry stalwart, over the years Chaminda has helped develop some of Sri Lanka’s premier media networks to the positions they enjoy today. Bringing vital corporate experience to the table, Chaminda oversees the company’s sales objectives and develops strategic partnerships with government and regulators. Chaminda’s aptitude to identify and develop innovative partners, negotiate and align them with Symbiosis is a valuable asset. Known for his ‘never say die’ attitude and relentless passion in achieving objectives, Chaminda combines an analytical mindset with creative problem solving ability to steer the Company ahead.
With advertising and marketing career encompassing equal stays in Sri Lanka and Dubai, Darren has the requisite international experience essential to lead any brand. At Lowe LDB, his focus was primarily in telecom industry advertising, wherein he worked closely with locally dominant Dialog on strategic initiatives pertaining to its postpaid, data and roaming businesses. Most recently as General Manager at Response Marketing, Darren was the agency head and was responsible for the overall business performance of the agency. Building and leading young and dynamic creative and service team Darren was also the strategic lead for the agency. That Response Marketing was not only able to consolidate and grow its position as a strategically driven creative agency but also add significantly to its client portfolio, both from local & international brands. At Symbiosis, Darren drives positioning, strategy and marketing of all its projects.
With over 16 years of experience in a wide variety of professional capacities in Corporate Sri Lanka; Naresh's responsibilities in the numerous roles played have involved driving profitability and efficiency, developing new business opportunities and expansion and the growth and development of high performing teams.A well networked and seasoned individual with the ability to engage in multiple industries and sectors, Naresh has spent the past decade exploiting endless possibilities of new business opportunities by launching revolutionary technology and applications in the areas of Near Field Communication, Mobile Payments, m-Commerce & Loyalty Management, Digital Health and also investing his vast knowledge and experience in the growth of e-Commerce platforms in Sri Lanka.As a well-reputed senior manager, trained and skilled to work in fast paced, highly challenging work environments, Naresh will align his experience in implementing business process improvements and managing the companies business operations.
A career banker with multinationals such as HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank and locally based Nations Trust Bank, Ashanthi oversees Corporate Finance and Project Management for Symbiosis and its subsidiaries. Possessing a Degree in Banking & Finance from the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Cardiff, she also overlooks Underwriting, Risk Management and Service Delivery for the company.
